Walk Leader Training (September)

Walk Derbyshire are offering members of the Jog Derbyshire network free Walk Leader training on Tuesday 12 September 2023 from 5.30 pm at Amber Valley Borough Council Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley, DE5 3BT.

As a walk leader you can help your friends, family, colleagues and community develop a passion for walking, whilst becoming healthier and happier.

The session lasts up to three hours (to include a practical walk) and will focus on providing you with the skills, knowledge and information needed to support your group with walking activities. It's informal and interactive so there will be plenty of opportunity to chat to others and share your experiences.

You must be part of a Jog Derbyshire group to join.

• What is Walk Derbyshire
• Benefits and barriers of walking
• Walk Leader role and responsibilities.
• Marketing, promotion and administration of walks
