Navigation Skills for Runners & Walkers
A day spent learning and practicing key skills for navigating on the move.

A full day of learning navigation skills, including route planning, use of map and compass, technological aids, judging pace and distance, and mitigating risks.

After a short theoretical session, the majority of the day will be spent learning and practicing navigation out on the ground in a variety of terrain.

There will be maximum student to tutor ration of 6:1 to ensure everyone gets a high level of attention and has their own needs addressed.

The exact location, which will be somewhere in the Peak District, will be informed by where participants are travelling from, and will be confirmed a week prior to the event.

Price is £65 per person.

Note: we also run NNAS (National Navigation Award Scheme) courses at Bronze and Silver level which lead to an accredited qualification. This course can be done as an alternative to the Bronze course (without gaining the qualification) if you would like to go straight to the Silver (intermediate) level qualification.
